What matters to us - Fully conversant with GDPR legislation - Proven recruitment experience within civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure sectors - Strong sourcing and headhunting capability. - Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. - Fully conversant with IR35 legislation - Proven recruitment experience with a track record in developing and implementing innovative people management solutions at an operational, tactical, and strategic level - Proven experience and comprehensive track record of managing recruitment within a company structure - Proven experience of coaching and developing managers and Senior Managers in recruitment methods and best practice - In-house recruitment experience within a contractor or engineering consultancy is desirable but not essential. Your contribution to our company - We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Recruiter to support talent acquisition across our UK Civil Engineering and Infrastructure projects. This role will focus on sourcing, attracting, and hiring skilled professionals across project delivery, engineering, commercial, and site operations functions. - The successful candidate will play a key role in building strong talent pipelines, supporting workforce planning, and enhancing STRABAG UK’s employer brand within the civil engineering market. **About Us** - For over a decade, STRABAG UK has brought the strength and success of the STRABAG Group to the UK. With over 180 years of company history and active in over 2,400 locations across more than 50 countries, the STRABAG Group is a diverse leader in construction, innovation, and financial strength. - Headquartered in Vienna, the STRABAG Group offers a wide range of construction services across the industry and the entire construction value chain. - We are committed to long-term investment in the UK through ambitious projects spanning various sectors, with a steadfast focus on supporting our people and protecting the environment. **Requirements** - To organise and attend regular meetings with key managers within the assigned Projects and to ensure workforce analysis and resource planning is effective. - Manage end-to-end recruitment across civil engineering and infrastructure roles. - Ensure the group in house systems are continually updated in line with the KPI’s, including the ATS and onboarding system - Maintain strong relationship with all hiring managers - Active sourcing of candidates using headhunting techniques - Aid in the collation of regular reports/updates to the senior recruitment partner as requested. - Assist with the full recruitment cycle - Liaise with the appropriate team ensuring that the full employment checks are carried out, when appropriate. - When the hiring decision is made and Employment Notification is fully approved, create the employment contract and keep in regular contact with the Hiring Manager - On confirmation of acceptance, communicate effectively to ensure full on-boarding initiated. In the week immediately preceding start date confirm that on-boarding is in place. - Proactively research and identify best practice initiatives and deliver as appropriate – maintain an awareness of external/Group initiatives and take steps to introduce or tailor for the UK as required. - Attend relevant seminars and courses to ensure continual personal and professional development i.e. Legislation changes, employment law. - Ensure P&C Department’s contribution is strategically business relevant and aligned to commercial goals.
