With a strong commitment to compliance, market integrity, and risk governance, the organization is building out its senior risk leadership to support long-term growth under evolving EU regulatory frameworks, including MiCA. **The Role** We are hiring a **Head of Risk Management** to lead the company’s **market surveillance and enterprise risk framework** in Europe. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing market abuse detection, regulatory-aligned risk controls, and cross-functional coordination with Compliance, Product, and Technology teams. You will play a critical role in ensuring the platform operates with integrity, transparency, and regulatory alignment in the EU. **Key Responsibilities** - Lead and own the **market surveillance and risk management function** for the entity. - Design and implement frameworks to detect **market manipulation, wash trading, abusive behavior, and other suspicious activities** . - Oversee real-time surveillance tools, alert systems, and investigation workflows. - Ensure alignment with **EU regulatory standards** , including MiCA-related market abuse, conduct, and risk obligations. - Develop and maintain a comprehensive **risk management framework** , covering: - Market risk - Operational risk - Custodial risk - Counterparty risk - Prepare internal and regulatory reports on risk indicators, incidents, and mitigation actions. - Work closely with **Compliance, Product, and Technology** teams to assess risk implications of new products, features, and process changes. - Act as a senior risk advisor to management on regulatory and market integrity matters. **Qualifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in **Finance, Economics, Law, Risk Management** , or a related field. - **5–8+ years** of experience in market surveillance, risk management, or compliance within: - Financial institutions - Trading venues - Crypto exchanges or digital asset platforms - Strong understanding of **EU market abuse regulations** and **MiCA framework** . - Hands-on experience with **market surveillance tools, analytics platforms, or monitoring systems** . - Proven leadership, investigative, and decision-making capabilities. - Fluent in **English** ; **German proficiency is strongly preferred** . - Based in **Vienna** , or willing to relocate. **Why This Role** - Senior ownership role in a **high-impact regulatory function** - Direct influence on how a major digital asset platform operates under MiCA - International, fast-moving environment with strong technical and compliance depth - Competitive compensation and long-term career growth in the digital assets space Quelle: https://at.linkedin.com/jobs/view/head-of-risk-management-at-worthland-consulting-inc-4367091107
