**Overview:** We are looking for a reliable and technically skilled **Desktop Support Specialist** to provide IT support to employees. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations, and delivering timely technical assistance. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide on-site and remote technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices - Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and applications - Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network connectivity issues - Manage user accounts, passwords, and access rights (Active Directory / email systems) - Set up new workstations and ensure proper IT onboarding for employees - Perform routine system updates, patches, and backups - Maintain IT inventory, asset records, and documentation - Escalate complex technical issues to the relevant IT teams or vendors - Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices - Provide basic user training and guidance on IT tools and systems **Required Skills & Qualifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience) - 2+ years of experience as a Desktop Support Engineer or IT Support Specialist - Strong knowledge of Windows/macOS operating systems - Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting and peripheral devices - Basic understanding of networking (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN) - Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management processes - Good communication and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks - Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and remote support tools - Knowledge of basic cybersecurity practices - IT certifications (CompTIA A+, ITIL, Microsoft) **Language Requirement:** - English: Professional - German: Professional **Job Type:** Full-time, on-site (Contract) **Job Location:** Mägenwil, Switzerland **Note: No visa sponsorship will be provided and only shortlisted candidates will be notified.** Quelle: https://ch.linkedin.com/jobs/view/desktop-support-specialist-at-photon-brains-4327922657
