Corporate controller Environment: Fortune 500 Company Location: Remote (Based in Austria or Germany) Duration: +10-months temporary engagement Environment: Fortune 500 Company Responsibilities: - Manage the month-end closing cycle for German, ensuring reporting integrity and adherence to global schedules. - Act as the lead for local statutory compliance, navigating the complexities of German GAAP with precision. - Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to manage tax data flows, specifically focusing on VAT accuracy and collection. - Serve as the primary point of contact for the Shared Service Center, related to the German operations - Partner with the business, providing financial clarity needed to support critical business decisions in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Who You Are - You possess a deep understanding of German GAAP. Proficiency in US GAAP or IFRS. - You have a proven track record of owning the monthly close process in complex, multinational environments. - You are comfortable working alongside Shared Service Centers to achieve operational excellence. - You are fully bilingual, with professional fluency in both English and German. - You have a background in a Big 4 audit firm (preferred).
