Join a leading life sciences company dedicated to accelerating scientific discovery and developing innovative solutions that contribute to a healthier future. **The Role** • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting cycles for legal entities in Austria and Germany, ensuring US GAAP compliance. • Prepare annual statutory accounts according to Austrian GAAP (UGB) and German GAAP (HGB), and manage tax filings. • Maintain a strong control environment, ensuring clean balance sheets and timely compliance. • Support the FP&A team with forecasting and budgeting for local entities and the wider European business. • Act as the primary contact for external partners, auditors, and regulatory authorities. • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing European finance team. • Champion continuous improvement by designing and implementing efficient, standardized processes. **What You'll Need** • Basic accounting qualification for Germany and/or Austria (e.g., Certified Accountant, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with minimum 5 years post-qualification experience. • Comprehensive multi-GAAP expertise (Austrian UGB, German HGB), US GAAP knowledge desirable. • Fluent in both German and English. • Proven track record in dynamic, global environments with strict compliance to deadlines. • Excellent communication skills, adept at engaging diverse internal and external stakeholders. • Advanced proficiency in finance systems and MS Excel; Oracle experience preferred. • Ability to travel approximately 35% to sites in Austria and the UK. **What's On Offer** • Opportunity to work remotely within Germany or Austria. • Be an integral part of the European Finance leadership team. • Contribute to groundbreaking science that enhances lives globally. • Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.
